Call for information about undocumented works by the Verveer brothers from The Hague

In 2013 a major retrospective exhibition of the work of the Verveer brothers from The Hague will be held at the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam. The exhibition organisers would like to hear from institutions or individuals who own paintings, watercolours or drawings by Salomon Leonardus Verveer (1813-1876), Maurits Leonardus Verveer (1817-1903) and/or Elchanon Leonardus Verveer (1826-1900) which might be requested as loans for the exhibition.

The accompanying monograph will incorporate a catalogue raisonné of works by S.L. Verveer. All correspondence will be treated confidentially. We would also like to hear about other documentation by or relating to the Verveers, such as letters, sketchbooks and photographs.
